Yes, if you enter payments from charity/checking as direct transfers
to the charity/liability, the charity/future category simply shows the
cumulative amount that you have transferred from your normal checking
account to charity/checking. It's just a bucket for numbers you use to
track the liability. With double-entry accounting software like MD,
you have to put the numbers somewhere.
