[moneydance] Trouble updating to 617?

Is anyone else having trouble updating to 617? I use Klikit, based on 
Kubuntu, and am currently running MD587. When the update notifier pops 
up, I click on the "take me to this URL" button and get a "Web Page", 
blank except for "Please go here." Clicking the "here" brings up "Choose 
your platform" and a promo to DL a trial version of MD. There are about 
10 DL options offered, buttons with no description except "after DL" 
instructions, and the "key features" bullets at the bottom also have no 
text.

To try to proceed further, I tried a .tar without java (since I already 
am running it), and got a 5.3M DL, but get errors on extraction.

Is anyone else having trouble with this? I've updated MD many times in 
the several years I've been using it, but there must be a better way for 
existing, registered users to update.
