Hi Again,

After some experimentation, I found that I cannot create a new reminder
based in a category or edit a reminder based in an account to be based
in a category, Also, if I use the Edit Categories window to view a
category register and try to memorize a transaction from that register,
it cannot be based in a category. Bummer!

However, reminders created in 587 (or 579) based in a category can be
edited to change the base category. These reminders can still be used
in 612. Thus Journal Entries can be memorized in old versions. As
usual, journal entries should be used only for special purposes, such as
year-end closeouts.

Now, what does the General Preferences check box Show All Accounts in
Popup mean?
Perhaps there should be another check box to allow Journal Entries.

Dave
