I'll second this motion (again).  I, too, miss this feature desperately from MS Money.  I'd even thought to try to archive off all of my completed transactions, but that seems to do funky things to my balance.

Regardless, I know that there's an issue in Trac for this.  I just guess that it's never been a high priority.
