[moneydance] Odd behavior in Spaces (Mac)

I'm running OS X 10.5.3 on my iMac. I'm using Spaces, in a 2 x 2 matrix
(i.e., 4 desktops).
For those not familiar with it, Spaces is a new standard feature of OS X
that allows me to set up a number of virtual desktops. Hitting F8 will
display all my desktops (reduced so that all of them fit on my screen),
using the matrix dimensions I've selected, in this pattern:
1 2
3 4
There's an icon in the menu bar that displays the number of the desktop that
is displayed.
I've configured it so that Moneydance always launches into desktop 4.
Typically, when I have several apps running in different desktops, if I
click on an app in the Dock that is in some other desktop, that desktop will
immediately become the active desktop (with appropriate animation, of
course), with its frontmost window in the foreground.
Here's where it gets strange for MD. Often, if I am in desktop 1, and MD is
running in desktop 4, when I click on the MD dock icon (or use CMD-TAB to
switch to it), Moneydance will appear in desktop 1 with no windows (i.e.,
the menu bar says Moneydance, but there are no MD windows showing). If I hit
F8 to see all the desktops, I can see the MD windows in desktop 4 where they
are supposed to be. If I then click in desktop 4 in the matrix, that desktop
becomes active, and all is well from then on.
But this behavior isn't consistent (or at least I haven't discerned the
pattern). When I started this message, MD was showing the odd behavior I
described above. But at the moment, when I switch to MD, desktop 4 slides
into view with MD and its windows, just like it should.
It occurs to me that this might be a Java issue of some sort.
Just thought I'd mention it to see if any other Mac users have noticed this
behavior.
