[moneydance] Should I be root or user to install preview version 609?

I'm printing OK with CUPS so here are the details:


Kubuntu  8.04
MD  609
JRE = that which I downloaded with MD which has a date on the JRE directory of  
1-21-07   (inidcates it is from 1.6 but I can't find a specific version ID)
the date of 'java' and the 'java_vm'  within the JRE directory is 11-29-06

I've never had much luck using the supplied jre that comes with MD but this 
last one works.  I used to use  Blackdown 1.4 to print with but it is no 
longer supplied with 8.04.
