Hello Bruce and thanks for your information.
The first time I installed MD today was _without_ the built-in Java.
The dates of the files in the /usr/local/moneydance/jre/bin were all
12/15/06.
To load the version of MD _with_ built-in Java I first copied the
/usr/local/moneydance directory to /usr/local/moneydance.old to preserve it.
The dates of the new jre/bin files were all 2/22/08 but it doesn't print
either.
I wonder if there is something different in out configurations.
The version of java I use in the machine (not the one for MD) is:
java -version
java version "1.6.0_06"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_06-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 10.0-b22, mixed mode)
In the new MD 609, help -> about reports:
Java Version: 1.6.0_06
Java Vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc.
but no build number.
I tried running java the executable in the /usr/local/moneydance/jre/java
but it just gives an error message
Error: no `server' JVM at
`/usr/local/moneydance/jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so'.
How about your printing preferences?
I have Printing method java2 and Font sans serif 10 point.
Do you have the same?
Unfortunately Sean has reported that he does not have a Linux machine so
cannot test printing. There are many who have problems and a very few
that are printing merrily along. I used to print ok a few years ago
with Sun Java but not since then.
Do you think it could be something about our cups?
My printer is a HP LaserJet 4100.
Larry
