[moneydance] Check number matching

Speaking of matching previous checks, it doesn't seem to work w/ my
GF's MD, but it does with mine.  We both use MD 587 and the same
bank.

The problem was clear as day: check num XXXX manually entered about
five days ago; "Download Transactions..." sucked over a new check
num XXXX but insisted on entering it in duplicate.

Anybody have suggestions about how to debug/work-around/correct 
this problem??
