[moneydance] Cash Disbursements

I created an asset account called Cash. When I take money out of a bank/credit card account, I select the Cash account as the category. So my Cash balance gets increased. When I spend the money, I enter the transaction in my Cash account, and select the appropriate expense category (lunch, gifts, misc, etc). This transaction decreases my Cash account. So my Cash account balance should always reflect what is in my wallet, and I can easily track where the cash went to.

Subject: [moneydance] Cash Disbursements

I spend to much with cash and I'm wondering how MoneyDance works to keep
track of cash disbursements. Ideally I'd like it to show the cash
withdrawals and then allow me to put in monthly the cash categories for that
month, i.e. enterntainment; food out; bus fare; etc.

Then at the end of the month ideally I'd like to see the accounts updated
and also what 'cash' that is left over and not accounted for thru the
category method.

Is this to much to ask for? Direction please.
