[moneydance] Update problem

I am running Moneydance version 587 on Kubuntu 7.10.

My updater says that I have the latest version.  I know that to be untrue so 
went to the help file on the website and after putting in my key I was told 
that I was entitled to a free upgrade.

I downloaded the wj version, and double clicked on the downloaded tar file.  
The instructions then say that I should double click on the Moneydance icon 
to install the program.  But the only icon that I can see 
is "moneydance_icon32.png".  Double clicking on that just gives me a bigger 
version of the icon.

Two questions:

	- Has my updater broken?

	- If not and if I now have to re-install from scratch how do I go about it?
