I've been fighting java printing in linux off and on for what seems like
forever(it's not just a moneydance problem, but all jva apps). I've fallen
back on 2 solutions... neither of which I really like. I have a laptop with
xp that I installed moneydance on (full version with java). I load the data
file off my Arch linux box and can print. I also run CodeWeavers CrossOver
product. I was able to install the windows version of Moneydance (full
version with java) on my linux box using CrossOver. It has some 'minor'
display issues, so I don't use it for normal work, but using it allows me to
print from my linux box.

Blackdown is gone and I couldn't find a link to an archived file so I got
Sun's 1.4 version from here:

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

I installed it as a regular user in my home directory so as not to mess with
the system wide java. Made a sym link pointing ~/moneydance/jre to this java
and printing is working again. Haven't used it enough to see if any other
issues pop up, but for now it looks good.

Thanks, Bruce

Doug
