[moneydance] MoneyDance 609 won't run anymore on a PC

I installed MD on a PC at work to use at lunch time and it was working as
recently as last Friday.. However, today I find that it won't come up
properly.  I get the splash screen just fine, an error is logged in
error.log (see below) and nothing else happens - no window, no activity,
etc.. As far as I know nothing was updated care of our corporate
environment where updates are pushed out automagically.. Any ideas on how
to diagnose this would be appreciated..

I just tried one more thing -- specifically that shown below:

C:\program files\MD>java -jar moneydance.jar
Unable to read source information: java.lang.NullPointerException

I am able to run other java apps (developed in house) just fine.. Any ideas?
