[moneydance] reconciling question

Hi all..

I've got an account that I'm now tracking in MD but have misplaced  
some of the earlier bank statements for a few months ago.. If I want  
to get things reconciled for now, can I reconcile against May for  
instance and get things balanced out and then go back and reconcile  
earlier months once I find the missing statements or am I asking for  
trouble doing things backwards?  Thx!
