[moneydance] Build updates

References are periodically made to Build releases.
What are these?
How do they differ to Program updates?
How does one obtain them?
Are they recommended or should one wait for the full update?

I'm obviously missing something and would appreciate any guidance.

Sure wish there was a full manual for MD or more extensive Help feature to assist
newbies learn and understand the many aspects of this great program.
