Here I agree, so far I have been doing the tagging afterwards in the
expense and/or income accounts concerned, but I grant you that it should
be possible to tag the contra account when entering a transaction.
For the sake of good bookkeeping one should (be able to) tag only income
and expense accounts.

Yes I also have only a few customers so I have a category "debtors" with
a separate sub-accounts for each debtor and a category "creditors" with
sub-accounts for each creditor. I have one sub-account called "once of
creditors".
