Assuming they occur at fixed intervals:

Open Reminders above the calendar.

Click on New Transaction Reminder.

Give it a name in the window that opens (Description)

Enter the first date of the transaction. If it is for a fixed term,
click in the Last date box and enter a date.

Select whether it is daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. Each period
gives you a different way to schedule the payments. A little lateral
thinking is required to determine which category is best for your
transaction. Some periods seem unavailable - for example I have not
been able to work out one for quarterly.

Select the account the item is to be charged to.

Enter the transaction details: Description (as it is going into a
current account, this will presumably be the Payee), Category (of if
it is a transfer to another account, the name of the account), the
amount and a memo if needed.

Select auto-commit and set it to at least one day before. Set it
earlier if you want to get a warning in the ledger of the charge
coming up.

Click OK and hopefully Bob's your uncle.
