[moneydance] Securities History

I have an investment that is not quoted on any stock exchange (a  
property Fund) but the company published each day the Net Asset Value  
which I use to update my records. I get the NAV from the company's web- 
site and insert it into current value and click on new which puts it  
into history. However the publication runs a day or two behind so I  
change the date in history. So far so good but if I click "done" and  
then re-display history the value has changed in history although the  
current price remains correct.

For instance today I picked up the NAV as 0.9613 and put that value in  
"Price" and clicked "New". The value appeared in history correctly but  
the date was 10/7/2008 but the NAV was for 10/3/2008 so I amended it  
in history and clicked "Done".

I then re-displayed History and the value had changed to 0.99256358.  
My question is where did that value come from and what am I doing wrong?
