[moneydance] how to diagnose OFX problems?

I just realized how much of a barrier this automatic OFX issues is to
MD, particularly because it is/was so easy to set up and get initial
acct info in Mint and Quicken (no I don't work for either).

I've spent well over two hours trying to learn how to make this work,
and then to get it to work, and I'm still not there.

Granted Service Credit Union isn't huge, (though they do deal with
lots of service folks overseas (and likely using different platforms).
But Ocean is a pretty big bank in New England and obviously a lot of
students have dealings with Direct Federal Student loans.

Getting in the customer in the door and feeling comfortable is
critical. I'd love to see you folks kick Intuit's butt; do it by
keeping the price low (maybe even offer a free version) and make it
easy to use from the get go. Two hours is just too long to get basic
data in the app.

Is there not a public database somewhere where all this bank specific
OFX data is stored? Certainly ought to be, an it could be kept up-to-
date there as well.

Is there a way to extract the data from Mint or Quicken online?
