[moneydance] Lost Cancel/Record buttons on new and edit transaction

I recently switch to a new system (Linux Centos 5.2 64-bit), and 
Moneydance 2008R2 (617) no longer displays the 3 panels under a new or 
edited transaction (pull down, Cancel, Record).

I tested this both using the installed JRE (1.6.0_07) or the version 
containing the JRE.
I still have an older version of Moneydance (587) where the Pull down, 
cancel, record does work.

Not 100% sure if this is a bug or configuration issue.
