[moneydance] Annoying sound in Moneydance

Have suddenly noticed a new bug in Moneydance.

When entering a new transaction, like a check, instead of the
normal "cash-register ring" sound, I get a continuous, unpleasant,
roaring noise in the speakers, which continues until I kill Moneydance.
Doesn't always happen but just often enough to be extremely
annoying.   Anyone else seen this?

Moneydance version 2008r2 (617), Java 1.6.0_13.
