[moneydance] How to run an account in a separate file?

I know what you're saying but I find it hard to believe....

To make a test, I copied one of my 3 MD files to  moneydance.md  (which I 
didn't have before)  and still, the click on my icon brought up the proper MD 
file.

So another test....     I copied a current file over to xxx.md      Then made 
up an icon that invoked  MD and called for the xxx.md  file.

Clicking the icon brought up the xxx.md file.   With no prior knowledge/setup 
within MD itself.

So I think you must have missed something.....
