[moneydance] How to run an account in a separate file?

Appologies if I have missed a pertinent part of this conversation. 

What is preventing you from opening Moneydance and just creating a new file. If your existing MD file contains the information you want to start the new file with just export the pertinent accounts and import to the new file.
