Though you can't do it directly except for zero-balance accounts, 
here's a trick which might be useful. Make the account type Asset or 
Liability instead of Bank Account or Credit Card. This moves them to 
a different section on the home page, and you can still reconcile them.

The big problem with this approach is that changing the type of an 
existing account requires editing the MD XML file -- you can't do it 
via the MD UI.
