I can see the same problem (iMac 10.5.7). I just expand the account
list to show all the sub accounts so theyare longer than the window
can hold.
But when I do anything to redraw the window - go to an account and
then press home again - a scroll bar appears on the window and I can
now scroll.
The same problem seems to occur in reverse - if I shrink the number of
account so the scroll bar is not required it doesn't immediately go
away. Looks like the scroll code is there but it is not triggered when
the account section of the main window is increased in length.
Perhaps in your case it is because you are moving to a smaller screen
on the laptops so the scroll bar is required.
