The next-check-number function in Moneydance will look at the highest
check number for the last 10 checks entered (but only in the last 180
days) and add one to it. It seems that
This means that after the 10th check in the new series, or 181 days
after the last check in the old series (whichever comes first)
moneydance will "catch on" with the new series.
