[moneydance] Reconciliation & older "unmarked" entries

I guess I've been lax, or inattentive, when it comes to reconciliation  
of my checking account.

I now have several entries that are 1 to 2 years old, yet I know that  
they have been cleared.

How do I go about removing them from the ledger/reconciliation of  
Moneydance? Not sure how bad that they will screw up my balance(s)
