[moneydance] problem with OFX file import - wrong sign on DEBIT

Hello,

I have had a persistent problem for the last few months when downloading an OFX file from my bank (JP Morgan Chase) and importing it into Moneydance 2008r3 (629). Operating system: Mac OS X 10.4.11, Java Version 1.5.0_16 (Apple). I believe (but I am not totally sure) that the problem started when upgrading to version "2008r3".

The problem is that positive deposits labeled as <TRNTYPE>DEBIT get a negative sign attached, even though <TRNAMT> is positive. For the other two
transaction types "CREDIT" and "CHECK" the sign given in <TRNAMT>
is used, and therefore provides the proper import. I don't have the
same problem with QIF files.

I attach a short example OFX file, taken from an original file for my checking account, but edited in a text editor (emacs) to alter personal information and reduced to only six example transactions, illustrating the problem:
<TRNTYPE>DEBIT positive/negative transaction amount
<TRNTYPE>CREDIT positive/negative transaction amount
<TRNTYPE>CHECK positive/negative transaction amount

All transactions take into account the sign of the transaction, except the positive "DEBIT".

Is this a bug in moneydance or the underlying ofx library?

Thank you.
