[moneydance] Quicken comparison so far

I imported my 26+ MB Quicken file only once into Moneydance without too many
problems. Went fast and smooth. Accounts came across okay but had to do some
clean up in transactions. These are the things I've found and wondering if
those of you who converted from Quicken had similar problems and if so, did
you find any solutions. Have gotten thru Chapter 7 in HELP and this is what
I have so far...

These things I fudged because they are old accounts or problems inherent
with Quicken import:

1. Even tho I bought 1 whole share of stock and took delivery on 1 whole
share of stock the next month, Moneydance said I was either .0001 share +/-
in that account.

2. Some of my OLD brokerage accounts used 0.000000 for shares which caused
some of the accounts to be out of whack for number of shares. Again, these
are OLD accounts so I just fudged them to get the balance to zero.

3. Some (or all?) of my SELLX transactions added a second transaction to
actually transfer the money which made them double transfers. Those I just
deleted the XFR transaction. Seemed to be a problem also in loan accounts.
Easy enough to clean up considering all the data I transferred!

Things that differ:

1. Printed Moneydance account list to compare to open Quicken account list.
Zero balance accounts were missing so I printed Quicken account list to
compare to Moneydance. Quicken had accounts missing also so I just made sure
all accounts with balances match (still working on this).

2. Quicken account balances are totals of all transactions in the account
even if they are after the current date. Moneydance account balances are
totals only thru current date! YEAH!

3. All my current investment accounts have the correct number of shares but
amounts are off. I'll check to see if there is any more cleanup of duplicate
transactions that needs to be done. Or maybe Moneydance updates prices each
time it's opened?

4. No page numbers on Moneydance reports? ;(

5. Quicken remembers the last view in investment accounts and displays that
when you come back in. Looks like Moneydance always starts at the Portfolio
View (Quicken's Summary). I think I may like this much better once I get
used to it! ;)

6. Current transactions can be "scheduled" as reminders in Quicken and
"memorized" for auto-fill. Moneydance reminders are "memorized", very easy
to set up and have a "last day of the month" option! YEAH!

7. I have accounts that I record back into itself. I know, not the greatest
thing to do, but they are just tracking an amount. Moneydance created a new
category with the account name followed by an "X". Works for me!

Will check for add-ons for these things:

1. What I miss from Quicken's "Manage Accounts" is the ability to hide
multiple accounts on one screen instead of doing it one account at a time.
It also lets you hide accounts but not include in totals which I find very
useful.

2. Would be nice if HELP had PREVIOUS and NEXT buttons so we don't have to
keep going back and forth between HELP and information or EXPAND & COLLAPSE
capabilities within the TOC. But I suppose once I'm comfortable with
Moneydance, I won't be needing it much so spending programming time on this
would be a waste.

Too tired for now to go on...
