[moneydance] reactivating moneydance after ubuntu reinstall

I had been running Ubuntu 8.04 from a Wubi installation, and decided to
load 9.04 in a partition. Prior to doing this, I saved a current backup
file, and then right clicked on the Moneydance folder in my home
directory, copied the file, and pasted it in an external hard drive.

After getting Ubuntu installed, I reversed the process and pasted
Moneydance back in my home directory in 9.04. However, when I open the
folder and then click on the icon to run Moneydance, nothing happens.

Is there a solution to this? Do I need to reinstall Moneydance from
scratch and install the backup file? I did a stupid thing, and did not
save a copy of the Moneydance download from the website. If there is
not a workaround, can I download a replacement copy without paying
again?
